On August 23, 2009 Montag performed live one of her songs "Body Language" during the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in the Bahamas in front of an expected worldwide audience of one billion. The song "Body Language" samples music from the number one mega hit "Situation" by Yazoo (Yaz in US) and it was performed by Montag during the presentation of all delegates in their swimming costumes.

Montag debuted her fashion line, Heidiwood, at a fashion show at the Hollywood and Highland shopping center in Hollywood on April 11, 2008. The designs since then have been dropped from all Anchor Blue Stores and will re-release the line in 2009. Shortly after, she promoted her line in New York City, at MTV's TRL, among other places.In June 2009 Montag is set to debut her own line of accessories and leggings which will be sold in the U.S and the UK in all Bloomingdale's stores.
